Thanks to eVI~ryone who reviewed and sent comments regarding
the Florence Flood Preparedness Plan. Before we print the final
draft, we would like to request your attendance at a meeting to
discuss the comments and concerns.

In addition to discussing general information on how the plan
is designed to work, we will establish formal memorandums of
agreements that will be used between local agencies in the event a
flood occurs,

We will also address the possible inclusion of the Arkansas
tributaries of oa~:, Coal, and Chandler cree~s into the plan. This
can be done if we can get stream gages placed in these Creeks so
that levels of warning can be established.

These concerns also apply to the upcoming La Junta and
possible Canon City Flood Preparedness Plans. They also experience
a lot of flooding from side tributaries (Anderson and King Arroyos
in La Junta and thl~ north side of the city in Canon city) and would
like to see these areas in addition to the Arkansas River
addressed.

The meeting date is for April 20th, 1993 at 1: 00 pm. The
location will be the Council Chambers at the city Municipal
Building located at Main and Maple in Florence, Colorado.
