<br />PLANNING ASSISTANCE TO THE STATE OF COLORADO <br />FLORENCE HYDROLOGIC INVESTIGATION, <br />COAL CREEK BASIN <br /> <br />APPENDIX A <br /> <br />SCOPE OF WORK <br /> <br />1, GENERAL <br /> <br />The Corps of Engineers will perform a hydrologic analysis of <br />Coal Creek to compute the 10-, SO-, lOa-year, and SOO-year <br />discharges, including the preparation of flood hydrology for <br />Fremont County and Florence, Colorado, These data are needed by <br />the town of Florence, Fremont County, and the state of Colorado for <br />to identify floodplain management needs, <br /> <br />2, SPECIFIC WORK <br /> <br />In cooperation with the town of Florence, Fremont County, and <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB), the Corps will: <br /> <br />* perform a detailed hydrology investigation of the Coal <br />Creek Basin upstream of Florence, Colorado; <br /> <br />* establish the 10-, SO-, 100-, and SOO-year flood discharges <br />for the Florence reach of Coal Creek; <br /> <br />* prepare flood hydrographs for the study stream reach at <br />Florence; <br /> <br /> <br />* correlate past flood characteristic to the lOa-year flood <br />event at Florence; <br /> <br />* provide the CWCB with a hydrology report, including all the <br />technical backup information, <br />
