This entity provides municipal and industrial
water suppli s to the Cities of Montrose, Olathe and Delta and also meets
the rural d mestic water demands of the Tri-County, Chipeta and Menoken
Water Conser ancy Districts. The UVWUA is also a member of Project 7.
Prior to Pro ect 7, the City of Montrose diverted a small amount of water
directly fro the Gunnison Tunnel. For this report, it has been assumed
that an avera e of 8 cfs would have been made into the reservoir during the
period of stu y.

2.4.2 Mod 1 formulae

The following equations were used to simulate existing conditions at
various nodes in the model.

DIV:

If (SCG + CED + ASD) ~ 1135 then (SCG + CED + ASD) else 1135

mula computes the amount of flow to be diverted from the
The total amount diverted during existing conditions should
sum of the rating cable, AS Lateral and Cedar Creek Wasteway
um of these demands is compared to the Tunnel capacity to make
nnel capacity constraint is not violated.
