<br />. <br /> <br />In the Atlanta Metropolitan Area, many home owners have raised <br />or are in the process of raising their houses to avoid flooding. <br />They have considered this to be the best solution to their problem <br />and after the project has been completed, they are extremely <br />pleased with the results. <br /> <br />Government agencies have not given this alternative just <br />consideration in their efforts to reduce flood damage. Enough <br />houses have been raised so that data on which to base future non- <br />structural analyses are available. Such data should be collected. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />19 <br />
