S. Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, has <br />completed for the Denver Metropolitan Region Flood Plain Information <br />Report, Volume V,Ralston Creek, Leyden Creek, Van BibberCreek, <br />Lena Gulch, Sanderson Gulch and North Sanderson Gulch, dated Novem- <br />ber 1970; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said FloodPlain Information Report outlines and <br />describes the flood water runoff channels within the above described <br />areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 149-1-11(4}, Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1963, requires that the Colorado Wacer Conservation Board designate <br />and approve storm or flood water ru~off channels and to ~ake such <br />designation available to legislativtl bodies of local jurisdictions: <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 139-60-1, Colorado Revised statutes 1963, <br />provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas and local <br />jurisdictions shall provide zoningtegulations for any storm or <br />flood water runoff channel only after designation and approval by <br />the Colorado water Conservation Boatd: and <br /> <br />. WHEREAS, the Denver Regional Council of Governments has <br />requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve the flood hazard areas as set forth in the aforesaid U. S. <br />Corps of Engineers Flood Plain Information Report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said Flood <br />~lain Information Report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board that said poard designate and approve as <br />flood hazard areas those areas set forth in the report as being sub- <br />ject to an intermediate regional flood; <br /> <br />_ __ ___ _ _.!'1Q.Vl.L ,!,HERE.~QRE, ..BE._IT _RESOLVED-by-the-Colorado -WaterConS'er- <br />-Ovation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado this <br />12th day of January, 1971, that it designate and approve as flood <br />hazard areas those areas described as being inundated by an inter- <br />mediate regional flood as set forth in ~he Flood Plain Information <br />
