The items identified below are
required before we can begin a detailed review of your request. Please submit two copies of any
additional data required.

1. There are increases in the base flood elevations (BFEs) at Cross Sections 214.95
and 216. There is a building between these cross sections, south of the Frontage
Road. Per the requirements of Part 65.12 of the National Flood Insurance
Program regulations, please submit certification that no insurable structures are
located in the areas affected by the increased BFEs.

2. Please submit a copy of the public notice distributed by the communities stating
their intent to revise the regulatorv floodwav along City Park Channel.

3. Please submit a statement from the City and County of Broomfield stating they
will adopt and enforce the modified regulatory floodway.

4. The effective FIRM and supporting information shows there are disconnected
flows to the south of the City Park Channel and Frontage Road. Please submit
information detailing how the flows south of the Frontage Road would get into
the channel, or develop a floodplain along the south of the Frontage Road and tie-
in to the effective floodplain upstream and downstream.

5. The culvert at Sheridan Boulevard appears to be the control for the downstream
starting water surface elevations (SWSELs) for the hydraulic model. The
information provided as support for the SWSELs does not appear to relate to the
existing culvert, nor the discharges in the hydraulic model. Please submit inlet
and outlet control calculations for the Sheridan Boulevard culvert to support the
SWSELs.

If all required items are not submitted within 90 days of the date of this letter, FEMA will treat any
subsequent request as an original submittal, and it will be subject to all submittal/payment procedures.
If you are unable to meet the 90-day deadline for submittal of required items, and would like us to
continue processing your request, you must request an extension of the deadline: This request must be
submitted to the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District in writing and must provide (I) the reason
why the data cannot be submitted within the requested timeframe, and (2) a new date for the submittal
of the data. The fees will be forfeited for any request for which neither the requested data nor a written
extension request is received within 90 days.

Please direct all required items and questions concerning your request to me at the address, telephone
number, and fax number shown at the bottom of the first page of this Jetter. When you write us about
your request, please include the case number referenced at the top of the first page of this letter in your
correspondence.

Updated 6-11-01

316-ACK.FRQ
