A summary of 1he changes made to 1he FIS report and maps is also enclosed. To assist us in processing 1he revised FIS report and FIRM in a timely manner, we request that your community review the enclosed copies and submit any changes or comments within 30 days of the date of this letter. Any comments received during 1his 30,day period will be reviewed and incorporated before final publication of the FIS report and FIRM. If we do not receive any changes or comments during the 30.day period, we will initiate final preparation and printing. Your community will be provided with printed copies of the revised FIS report and maps before the effective date. To assist your community in maintaining the FIRM, we have enclosed a Summary of Map Actions to document previous Letters of Map Change (LOMCs) (Le., Letters of Map Amendment, Letters of Map Revision) that will be superseded when 1he revised FIRM panels referenced above become effective. Information on LOMCs is presented in three categories: (1) LOMCs that have been included on the revised FIRM panels; (2) LOMCs that have not been shown on the revised FIRM panels because of scale limitations or because the LOMC that was issued had determined that the lots or structures involved were outside the Special Flood Hazard Area shown on the FIRM; and (3) LOMCs that have not been included on the revised FIRM panels because they are being superseded by new detailed flood hazard data. The LOMCs shown in Category 2 above will be revalidated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) through a letter that will be sent to your community shortly before the effective date of the revised FIRM.
