A summary of 1he changes made to 1he FIS report and maps is also enclosed. <br /> <br />To assist us in processing 1he revised FIS report and FIRM in a timely manner, we request that your <br />community review the enclosed copies and submit any changes or comments within 30 days of the date of this <br />letter. Any comments received during 1his 30,day period will be reviewed and incorporated before final <br />publication of the FIS report and FIRM. <br /> <br />If we do not receive any changes or comments during the 30.day period, we will initiate final preparation and <br />printing. Your community will be provided with printed copies of the revised FIS report and maps before the <br />effective date. <br /> <br />To assist your community in maintaining the FIRM, we have enclosed a Summary of Map Actions to <br />document previous Letters of Map Change (LOMCs) (Le., Letters of Map Amendment, Letters of Map <br />Revision) that will be superseded when 1he revised FIRM panels referenced above become effective. <br />Information on LOMCs is presented in three categories: (1) LOMCs that have been included on the revised <br />FIRM panels; (2) LOMCs that have not been shown on the revised FIRM panels because of scale limitations <br />or because the LOMC that was issued had determined that the lots or structures involved were outside the <br />Special Flood Hazard Area shown on the FIRM; and (3) LOMCs that have not been included on the revised <br />FIRM panels because they are being superseded by new detailed flood hazard data. The LOMCs shown in <br />Category 2 above will be revalidated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) through a letter <br />that will be sent to your community shortly before the effective date of the revised FIRM. <br />
