The channel
modifications included construction of a new regional detention facility upstream of Motsenbocker Road
and-the'channelization'and-relocation-of-Unnamed-Tributary_D_from_the_confluence_with_Chem Creek to
just downstream of Motsenbocker Road. This area is shown on the effective FIRM as a Special Flood
Hazard Area (SFHA), the area that would be inundated by the flood having a I-percent chance of being
equaled or exceeded in any given year (base flood), designated Zone A, where no Base Flood Elevations
have been detennined. This request follows up on a Conditional Letter of Map Revision issued on
September 7,2001.

All data required to complete our review of this request were submitted with letters from Mr. Michael
Hickey, P,E., Senior Project Engineer, and Mr. Justin Scholz, E.!., both with Carroll & Lange, Inc., and
Mr. Williams.

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown on the effective FIRM. We
have revised the FIRM to modify the floodplain boundary delineations of the base flood along Unnamed
Tributary D. As a result of the modifications, the width of the SFHA for Unnamed Tributary D increased
in some areas and decreased in other areas_ The above-referenced channelized and relocated portion of
Unnamed Tributary D contains the base flood. The modifications are shown on the enclosed annotated
copy of FIRM Panel 0185 B. This Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) hereby revises the above-referenced
panel of the effective FIRM dated March 2,1993.

The modifications are effective as of the date shown above. The map panel listed above and as modified
by this letter will be used for all flood insurance policies and renewals issued for your community.

A review of the detennination made by this LOMR and any requests to alter this determination should be
made within 30 days. Any request to alter the determination must be based on scientific or technical data.
