This section requires that <br />notice of final flood elevations shall be sent to the community's Chief <br />Executive Officer, all individual appellants, and the state coordinating <br />agency, and shall be published in the Federal Register. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On August 26, 1976, your community was provided copies of the Flood <br />Insurance Study and Draft Flood Insurance Rate Maps for information and <br />review. Those documents notified the community of the proposed base <br />flood elevations, which were subsequently published in The Aurora Sun <br />on March 17, 1977 and March 24, 1977. <br /> <br />Within the ninety-day appeal period provided for in Section 110 of the <br />Flood Disaster Protection Act of 1973, FIA did receive appeals. The <br />technical data submitted in support of the appeals have been evaluated, <br />and all appeals resolved, in accordance with Part 1917 Chapter 10, Title <br />24, Code of Federal Regulations. Therefore, the determination of the <br />Administrator as to the base flood elevations for the community is <br />considered final. The final base flood elevation determination will be <br />published in the Federal Register as soon as possible, and it is reflected <br />in the accompanying proof copies of the Flood Insurance Study and Flood <br />Insurance Rate Map (FIRM). The FIRM will become effective six months <br />from the date of this letter. Before the effective date, FIA will send <br />you final printed copies of the FIRM and Study. <br /> <br /> <br />. <br />
