This section requires that
notice of final flood elevations shall be sent to the community's Chief
Executive Officer, all individual appellants, and the state coordinating
agency, and shall be published in the Federal Register.

.

On August 26, 1976, your community was provided copies of the Flood
Insurance Study and Draft Flood Insurance Rate Maps for information and
review. Those documents notified the community of the proposed base
flood elevations, which were subsequently published in The Aurora Sun
on March 17, 1977 and March 24, 1977.

Within the ninety-day appeal period provided for in Section 110 of the
Flood Disaster Protection Act of 1973, FIA did receive appeals. The
technical data submitted in support of the appeals have been evaluated,
and all appeals resolved, in accordance with Part 1917 Chapter 10, Title
24, Code of Federal Regulations. Therefore, the determination of the
Administrator as to the base flood elevations for the community is
considered final. The final base flood elevation determination will be
published in the Federal Register as soon as possible, and it is reflected
in the accompanying proof copies of the Flood Insurance Study and Flood
Insurance Rate Map (FIRM). The FIRM will become effective six months
from the date of this letter. Before the effective date, FIA will send
you final printed copies of the FIRM and Study.

.
