<br />A1 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />102 Columbine Building <br />1845 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />September 10, 1975 <br /> <br />R E SOL UTI 0 N <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Urban Drainage and Flood Control District, in <br />cooperation with Boulder County, requested Leonard Rice Consulting <br />Water Engineers, Inc. to delineate the flood hazard areas for the <br />lower portions of Boulder Creek and Dry Creek within Boulder County, <br />Colorado; and . . <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Leonard Rice Consulting Water Engineers, Inc. has <br />completed Flood Hazard Area Delineation, Boulder Creek and Dry Creek, <br />dated June, 1-975; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report outlines and describes the floodwater <br />runoff channels within the above described areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the <br />prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111. Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris- <br />dictions may provide zoning regulations for any storm or floodwater <br />runoff channel only after designation and approval by the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-l06(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board, upon designation <br />and approval of the flood hazard areas as set forth in the aforesaid <br />Urban Drainage and Flood Control District Flood Hazard Report, to make <br />such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said Flood Hazard <br />Report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board that said Board designate and approve as flood hazard areas those <br />areas set forth in the report as being subject to a 100-year flood: <br /> <br />_ _ _ ~__ _ ___ .N<>W.,-THEREE'ORE,..
