I have reviewed the report and
maps and found them acceptable. They have been presented to the
Planning Commission for review and will be forwarded to the City
Council for review and a public hearing.

~

The FEMA Study is partially based on the reports prepared by
Great Divide Engineering and Surveying and by Camp Dresser and
McKee and those reports along with the associated maps have been
approved by the City Council. We currently enforce our floodplain
regulatations in the areas covered by those reports namely the Ark-
ansas River and the Northeast Canon Drainage.

The earliest date the City Council could hold a public hearing
is April 16, 1984. It would be beneficial to have the FEMA study
approved by the Colorado Water Conservation Boa,rd prior to that date.

Please contact me if I can be of any assistance or if you feel
it is necessary for me to attend the next Board Meeting.

Sincerely,

;{J4

Bob Robler
City Engineer
Floodplain Administrator

BRlsh
