Sparks <br />Director, <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board <br />1845 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />Dear Mr. Sparks: <br /> <br />Accompanying this letter are twenty-five copies of the report <br />entitled, "Flood Hazard Area Delineation; Piney Creek, Cottonwood <br />Creek, Lone Tree Creek and Murphy Creek," dated October, 1975. Sub- <br />mittal of these reports constitutes partial completion of our obli- <br />gation under our November 1, 1974 contract with your Board (Contract <br />Encumbrance No. C 143637). Another report covering Second and Third <br />Creek, which will complete our obligation under the above mentioned <br />contract, will be submitted to you in approximately'two' months. <br /> <br />The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control <br />District at.their Novemb~meeting, passed Resolution No. 39, Series <br />of 1975, adopting the flood hazard area delineation report accompanying <br />thi s letter. We request that the Colorado .Water Conservation Board <br />consider the 100-year flood plains described in the study for designa- <br />tion as flood hazard areas. The study was completEd through cooperative <br />efforts with Arapahoe County and Douglas County, and the counties will <br />be responsible for regulating the 100-year flood plains.
