Dear Mr. Sparks:

Accompanying this letter are twenty-five copies of the report
entitled, "Flood Hazard Area Delineation; Piney Creek, Cottonwood
Creek, Lone Tree Creek and Murphy Creek," dated October, 1975. Sub-
mittal of these reports constitutes partial completion of our obli-
gation under our November 1, 1974 contract with your Board (Contract
Encumbrance No. C 143637). Another report covering Second and Third
Creek, which will complete our obligation under the above mentioned
contract, will be submitted to you in approximately'two' months.

The Board of Directors of the Urban Drainage and Flood Control
District at.their Novemb~meeting, passed Resolution No. 39, Series
of 1975, adopting the flood hazard area delineation report accompanying
thi s letter. We request that the Colorado .Water Conservation Board
consider the 100-year flood plains described in the study for designa-
tion as flood hazard areas. The study was completEd through cooperative
efforts with Arapahoe County and Douglas County, and the counties will
be responsible for regulating the 100-year flood plains. We will be
happy to make a presentation to your Board, if you so desire.
