The greenbelt

appearance of this channel could be incorporated into a park, if

additional land were acquired. Conversely, a closed pipe system

could be substituted for the open channel if open space in the

area is not considered economically feasible.

Item Description

CONSTRUCTION

7211 Storm Sewer

78" Storm Sewer

Asphalt over 72" Pipe

Asphalt over 78" Pipe

Manholes

Inlets

Special Inlet at 869 + 40

Inlet Pipe

Asphalt for Inlet Pipe

Open Channel Excavation

Low Flow Channel

Concrete Apron

Construction Sub-total
15% Engineering
10% Contingencies
Tbtal Construction

The proposed storm sewer system would convey the ten-year flood

but would leave surface flow in a lOO-year event. Very little

surface flow could be allowed to cross Wadsworth Blvd., since it

must remain capable of carrying emergency traffic in a lOO-year

flood. It is recommended that the entire 100-year flood be

carried under the street, and that a large inlet structure be

constructed to collect the approximately 260 cfs reaching Wads-

worth on the land surface.

LAND ACQUISITION
Right-of-way Acquisition
Easements along Pipe Lines

Land Acquisition Sub-total
10% Contingencies
5% Legal
Total Land Acquisition

TOTAL COST

70 L.F. $ 160 $ 11,200
2,050 L.F. 200 410,000
70 L.F. 24 1,680
1,510 L.F. 25 37,750
4 Ea. 1,000 4,000
28 Ea. 1,000 28,000
1 Ea. 16,500 16,500
840 L.F. 30 25,200
840 L.F. 18 15,120
1,000 C.Y. 3 3,000
84 C.Y. 210 17,640
15 C.Y. 210 3,150
$573,240
85,986
57,324
$716,550

Quantity

2.3
1,250

Unit

A
L.F.

Unit Price

45,000
15

$103,500
18,750

$122,250
12,225
6,113
$140,588

$857,138
