S. Army <br />Corps of Engineers, Sacramento District, at the request of the Routt <br />County Regional Planning Commission and the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels or <br />basins of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Steamboat Springs has requested the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and approve the flood- <br />plain areas as set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />t':l <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, <br />requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the pre- <br />vention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local juris- <br />dictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any <br />storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and <br />approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and ' <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-l06(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes <br />1973, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make such <br />designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and <br />does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservation Board that <br />the board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas inundated <br />by a 100-year flood (intermediate regional flood) as described by the <br />floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said report; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser- <br />vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, this <br />17th day of March, 1976 that it does hereby designate and approve as <br />floodplain areas those areas described as being inundated by a 100-year <br />flood as set forth in said report; and ' <br /> <br />~ <br />
