No. 181 COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD 823 State Centennial Building 1313 Sherman Street Denver, Colorado 80203 December 4, 1981 RES 0 L UTI 0 N WHEREAS, A floodplain Information report entItled "Floodplain Information Report, Big Thompson River, Loveland, Colorado," dated October, 1981, has been prepared by Resource Consultants, Inc., at the request of the City of Loveland, Larimer County, and the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodpiain data and information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels or basins of the study aiea;and WHEREAS, requested the approve the report; and the City of Loveland, and Larimer Colorado Water Congervation Board to floodplain areas as set forth In County have designate and the aforesaid WHEREAS, 1973, requires the prevention Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes the Colorado Water Conservat ion Board to ass 1st in of floods and flood damages therefrom; and WHEREAS, Sect.ions 31-23-201 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any storm or floodwater runoff' channel or basin only after designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and WHEREAS, Sect.ion 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Rp.vised Statutes 1'J/j, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has rev lewed sa Id report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado Water Conservat ion Board that the Board designate and approve as floodpla in areas those areas inundated by a 100-year fiood (intermediate regional flood) as described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles in said report;
