The base flood elevation of the <br />areal feature shall be the hi.ghest elevation <br />of the BFE lines bour,ding the area. I t is <br />shown by FIS symbol AlOl. <br /> <br />This code identif'es an area inundated by <br />100-year floodin!; (usually sheet flow on <br />sloping terrain), for which "verage depths <br />have been determined; flood depths range from <br />1 to 3 feet (parameter code L,45 - - --). The <br />depth is usually expressed in feet <br />(descriptive code 440 0610) but is expressed <br />in meters (descriptive code L,40 0611) for <br />some communities. It is sho.m by FIS symbol <br />Al03. <br /> <br />This code identifies an alluvial fan <br />inundated by 100-year flooding (usually sheet <br />flow on sloping terrain), for which average <br />flood depths and velocities have been <br />determined; flood depths range from 1 to 3 <br />feet. The depth is expressed. by parameter <br />code 445 0---. The depth is usually <br />expressed in feet (descriptive code 440 0610) <br />but is expressed in meters (d.escriptive code <br />4400611) for some communities).
