<br />t-r <br />t <br />i <br /> <br />- <br /> <br />FILE HEADER INFORMATION <br /> <br />The header file is physically comprised of 8-bit ASCII characters organized into <br />a fixed length logical record of 80 characters. The header information includes <br />the name of the digital cartographic unit, map scale, date of original source <br />material, date of last revision, and a banner. The following further defines the <br />aforementioned: <br /> <br />Banner: <br /> <br />Defines the banner, which is comprised of information unique to the FIS. The <br />banner is a string of up to 72 alphanumeric characters, with the following record <br />format. All fields except the FIPS codes ar" left justified with trailing <br />spaces. ~. <br /> <br />FEMA Identifier. Options are: <br /> <br />FEMA-FIRM <br /> <br />To be used for studies that are digitized as DLGs <br />only. See Glossary of Terms (Appendix F) for <br />definition of FIRM-DLGs. <br /> <br />FEMA-DFIRM - <br /> <br />To be used for s tuides for which a DFIRM is <br />published at the same time that the DLGs are <br />prepared. See Glossary of Terms (Appendix F) for <br />definition of DFIRM-DLGs. <br /> <br />Record length 10 <br /> <br />Data Category. Options are: Flood Hazard Zones <br />Political Areas <br />Map Panel Areas <br />FEMA Hydrography <br /> <br />Record length 20 <br /> <br />Predominant County, State. Predominant county the FIRM covers, followed <br />by a comma and its two-character state abbreviation. Record <br />length 30. <br /> <br />State FIPS code. Record length 2. State code should be two digits with <br />leading zero if necessary. <br /> <br />County FIPS <br /> <br />code.
