Three weather stations north and west of <br />Lamar (pI. 2) reported about 1.6 inches. In New Mexico, flood-producing <br />rains fell over the Mora River basin and the area north and northeast of Las <br />Vegas. At Roy, 2.50 inches fell on June 14, most of it in 2 hours; and at <br />Valmora, 4.73 inches was reported on June 15. There were many unofficial <br />reports of 4 inches or more during the 2-day period. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />RAINFALL ON JUNE 16 <br /> <br />Intense rainfall began on June 16; major flooding occurred the next <br />several days. There were 15.5 inches of rain reported 28 miles south- <br />southeast of Lamar, Colo., and 3.34 inches at Black Lake, N. Mex.
