Specifically, this responds to a letter dated February 2, 1993,
from Ms. Sheila Beissel, P.E., Senior Civil Engineer, City of Westminster,
Department of Community Development, regarding the effective Flood Insurance
Rate Map (FIRM) for the unincorporated areas of Jefferson County, Colorado.
Ms. Beissel requested that we revise the effective FIRM to show the effects
of construction of twin 10-foot by l4-foot and 9-foot by l4-foot
reinforced-concrete box culverts at Church Ranch Boulevard, channel
improvements from just downstream of Church Ranch Boulevard to approximately
900 feet downstream, and fill along Walnut Creek.

All of the data required to complete our review of this request were
submitted by Ms. Beissel with her letters dated February 2, May 4 and 19, and
December 10, 1993, and by Mr. Raymond Tuttle, P.E., Project Manager,
Martin/Martin, Inc., with his facsimile transmittal dated August 26, 1993.
All fees necessary to process this Letter of Map Revision (LOMR), a total of
$2,100, have been received.

The reach of Walnut Creek is in an area that was annexed by the City of
Westminster from the unincorporated areas of Jefferson County on July 25,
1988, and is shown on the effective FIRM Panel 080087 0075 B dated August 5,
1986, for the unincorporated areas of Jefferson County, Colorado.

We have completed our review of the submitted data and the flood data shown
on the effective FIRM, and have revised the FIRM to modify the floodplain
boundary delineations of a flood having a l-percent probability of being
equaled or exceeded in any given year (base flood) along Walnut Creek from
approximately 900 feet downstream of Church Ranch Boulevard to just
downstream of Wadsworth Boulevard.
