October,1975, and covering areas of Larimer and Weld Counties,has been prepared by theU. S. Army corps of Engineers, Omaha District, at the request of theLarimer~Weld Regional Planning Commission and the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain data and. information for the storm and floodwater runoff channels or basins of the study area; and WHEREAS,the Counties of Larimer and Weld have requested the Colorado Water Conservation Board ~odesignate and approve the flood- plain area as set forth in the afo~esaid report; and '. . . ) WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1), Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, requires the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood dam~ges therefrom; arid WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-201 and'30-28-l11, Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, provide that such legislative. bodies of local juris- dictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and WHEREAS, Section 37-60-l06(1)(c),'Colorado Revised Statutes 1973, directs the Colorado Water Cn;lservation Board to. designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make such designations available' to legislati.ve hodies of .local jurisdictions; and . .' . WHEREAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said report and does hereby recommend to the Color<:ldo Water Conservation Board that the Board designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas inundated by a 100-year flood (Interrri~diate regional flood). .as described by the floodwater surface elevations and profiles.in said report; . . NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conser- vation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, this 17th day of March,1976 that it does hereby designate and approve as floodplain areas those areas descri.bedas being inundated by a 100- year flood as set forth in said report; and
