One irrigation water well with casing, located <br />right of levee station 70+45, would be relocated as shown on plate 5. <br />The water wells with windmills in the vicinity of levee station 163+00 <br />would have to be relocated off the right of way in locations chosen by <br />the owner. <br /> <br />d. Irrigation ditches. 4n existing concrete lined irrigation ditch <br />would be relocated on the right from levee station 70+40 to station <br />72+40 approximately, to be outside the right of waY as shown on plate 5. <br />An elevated earth ditch would be provided on the right from levee <br />station 84+00 to 99+50 as shown on plate 5. <br /> <br />e. Fences. A total of approximately 10,320 lineal feet of exist- <br />ing barbed wire fences within the right-of-way of the levee would be <br />removed. Construction of new fences as required to exclude livestock <br />from the levee right-of-way would not be included in the levee contract. <br />Any new fence would be an obligation of local interests. <br /> <br />f. Sheds. Four frame sheds in the vicinity of levee station <br />163+50 would be relocated or reconstructed as necessary to provide equal <br />facilities for the owner in the location desired. <br /> <br />g. Irrigation intake structure. A concrete intake structure would <br />be provided at levee station 1+25 to pass irrigation water through the <br />levee to supply the Las Animas Consolidated Ditch, the Las Animas Town <br />Ditch and branches of the two ditches. Details of the structure are <br />shown on plate 19. <br /> <br />h. <br />in two <br />county <br /> <br />Road culverts. New twin 36-inch CMP culverts would be provided <br />locations to pass drainage ditch water under the relocated <br />road. Details of the culvert installations are shown on plate 20. <br /> <br />RELOCATIONS TO BE PERFORMED AT FEDERAL EXPENSE <br /> <br />12-05. Relocations at Federal expense. The only relocation to be per- <br />formed at Federal Expense is the alteration of the Arkansas River Bridge <br />on the Las Animas Branch of the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway <br />system. This branch line connects the Arkansas Valley Branch with the <br />AT&SF mainline and crosses the Arkansas River about one mile northeast <br />of Las Animas. <br /> <br />37 <br />
