~ CWCB is required to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom
~ Legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on
or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and
approval of the study by the CWCB.
llII CWCB has been directed to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channel or
basins and to make such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions.

· Solicit community input on the floodplain study to be reviewed including any known
floodplain mapping inaccuracies or other technical problems with the study.
