Coordinating <br />Instructions <br /> <br />All Drought Assessment and Response Agen- <br />cies: <br /> <br />The general sequence of actions to be carried out <br />under this Plan will be in accordance with Figure 3 <br />ofthis Plan_ <br /> <br />Expenses to support activities are subject to nor- <br />mal fiscal constraints of respective agencies. Re- <br />quests for special funding will be forwarded <br />through the appropriate lead agency, lhe Review <br />and Reporting TF, or the IACG, to the Governor. <br /> <br />Local governments and public assoclalk>ns assist <br />State agencies in the identification and assess- <br />ment of drought impacts, respond within their <br />capabilities and request State assistance when <br />needs cannot be met locally_ <br /> <br />Meeting frequency of Task Forces and the IACG <br />will be determined by the chairperson so as to <br />keep leadership fully informed of assessment and <br />response activities, <br /> <br />Frequency of situation reports (SITREPS), assess- <br />ments, and Interagency response act~)Os will be <br />as recommended to the Governor by the Director <br />of DODES. <br /> <br />Public information/public awareness is an essen- <br />tial element of the State's Drought Response Sys- <br />tem_ As such, it may require a special annex In a <br />severe long term drought. Public Illformation/ <br />awareness responsibilities - protocols are: <br /> <br />. Task Force chairpersons and lead response <br />agency representatives are authorized to <br />respond to questions from the media, or <br />issue news releases concerning their <br />specific areas of responsibillty_ <br /> <br />. Chairperson of the Review and Rllporting TF <br />(Director DO DES) will resolve questions of <br />potential conflict should they arise. <br /> <br />.
