<br />WHEREAS, the said Flood Insurance Study for unincorporated <br />Douglas County describes and outlines floodplain information for <br />certain storm and floodwater runoff channels or basins of the <br />study area in a manner that is consistent with certain <br />floodplain delineation reports as set forth in Table I, attached <br />hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the said Flood Insurance Study for unincorporated <br />Douglas County revises previously designated and approved <br />detailed floodplain information to approximate floodplain <br />information for storm and floodwater runoff channels or basins, <br />as set forth in Table 2, attached hereto and by this reference, <br />incorporated herein,; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the said Flood Insurance Study for unincorporated <br />Douglas County includes approJcimate floodplain delineations for <br />certain stream reaches which are inconsistent with certain <br />floodplain delineation reports, as set forth in Table 3, <br />attached hereto and by this reterence incorporated herein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the said Flood Insurance Study for unincorporated <br />Douglas County does not include detailed floodplain information <br />for certain storm and floodwater runoff channels or basins <br />contained ~ certain floodplain delineation reports as set forth <br />in Table 4, attached hereto. Clnd by this reference incorporated <br />herein; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />Conservation <br />as set forth <br /> <br />Douglas County has requested the Colorado Water <br />Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas <br />in the aforesaid new report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(C), Colorado Revised Statutes, <br />requires. the~. coloJ:ado ~ateJ: ~onservation Board to assist in the <br />prevent ion of floods and flood damages therefrom; and . <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-3()l and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes, provide that SUCh legislative bodies of local <br />juriSdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-10&(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, <br />directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and <br />approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to <br />make such designations available to legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, designation of c~rtain stream reaches delineated in <br />the said Flood Insurance Study for unincorporated Douglas County <br />does not require rescission Of any portion of certain previous <br />designations, as listed in said Tables 2, 3, and 4; and <br /> <br />-3- <br />
