WHEREAS, the said Flood Insurance Study for unincorporated Douglas County describes and outlines floodplain information for certain storm and floodwater runoff channels or basins of the study area in a manner that is consistent with certain floodplain delineation reports as set forth in Table I, attached hereto and by this reference incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, the said Flood Insurance Study for unincorporated Douglas County revises previously designated and approved detailed floodplain information to approximate floodplain information for storm and floodwater runoff channels or basins, as set forth in Table 2, attached hereto and by this reference, incorporated herein,; and WHEREAS, the said Flood Insurance Study for unincorporated Douglas County includes approJcimate floodplain delineations for certain stream reaches which are inconsistent with certain floodplain delineation reports, as set forth in Table 3, attached hereto and by this reterence incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, the said Flood Insurance Study for unincorporated Douglas County does not include detailed floodplain information for certain storm and floodwater runoff channels or basins contained ~ certain floodplain delineation reports as set forth in Table 4, attached hereto. Clnd by this reference incorporated herein; and WHEREAS, Conservation as set forth Douglas County has requested the Colorado Water Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas in the aforesaid new report; and WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(C), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires. the~. coloJ:ado ~ateJ: ~onservation Board to assist in the prevent ion of floods and flood damages therefrom; and . WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-3()l and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that SUCh legislative bodies of local juriSdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and WHEREAS, Section 37-60-10&(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado Water Conservation Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins and to make such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and WHEREAS, designation of c~rtain stream reaches delineated in the said Flood Insurance Study for unincorporated Douglas County does not require rescission Of any portion of certain previous designations, as listed in said Tables 2, 3, and 4; and -3-
