III
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I
I

.

Refine SWMM model for spills and hydraulics [H]
determined above and storm sewer capacities
as may be determined.

.

Calibrate to known data, and refine modeling of [H - M]
urban watershed subbasins; compare to other
studies with SWMM and CUHP modeling.

.

Revise all Corps SWMM modeling below Gross [H - M]
Reservoir with emphasis on realistic overland
flow lengths, infiltration/detention
characteristics per UDFCD or as may be
determined, realistic channel lengths, geometry
and roughness characteristics. Note that it may
be simpler and more reliable to use the HEC-'
program for the above tasks.

.

Review Eldorado gauge data and Gross [M]
Reservoir operating statistics, verify
reasonableness of mountain modeling below
Gross, calibrate if possible.

.

Provide basic UNET or other realistic stream [H - M]
flow routing model from Highway 93 splits,
with a main channel path following South
Boulder Creek and a West Valley path, with
simplified conveyances for interconnecting
channels with small flows (i.e., less than 400
cfs). Input SWMM major subbasin hydrographs.
(Note that we have hypothesized that while
major subbasin hydrology will rise, realistic
channel routing may attenuate these effects
along the main flow paths.)

F.

Limited Geomorohic Analvsis

The propensity for the South Boulder Creek [H]
channel to aggrade (rise) or erode the bank at
the spill upstream of Highway 36 and lead to
increased spillage should be investigated. This
would specifically involve the area above
Highway 36 to upstream of the upper levee and
generally include consideration of sediment
transport through the reach up to Highway 93.

V-6
