<br />much consideration has been given to the Florence-Canon city,
<br />colorado, region flood ha~ard study; how~ver, progress has been
<br />sl~~. The problem has been one of on-off study starts, changes in
<br />study management personnel, and delays in signing contract agree-
<br />ments. Today, our most optimistic completion date for the flood-
<br />plain study would be April 1, 1980, provided mapping is receivc~ by
<br />February 15.
