<br />6,0 OTHER STUDIES
<br />
<br />A Flood Insurance Study is being conducted for the unincorporated
<br />areas of Pitkin County (Reference 9). The results of this study are
<br />consistent with the pitkin County study.
<br />
<br />A study entitled ~loodplain Info2,mation, Aspen, Colorado, by the
<br />U.S. Army Corps of Engineers was completed in 1973 (Reference 3).
<br />Also, the Floodplain Informationl~.,=port, Roaring Fork River, A~~_I?_
<br />to Basalt, pitkin County, ColoradoJ, by Wright-McCaughlin Engineel:s,
<br />was completed in 1976 (Reference 8). Due to the more dE,tail'2d
<br />mapping and updated hydrology used in this Flood Insurance Study,
<br />the previous flood elevations and ~loodplain have been revised.
<br />
<br />This study is authoritative for the purposes of the National Flood
<br />Insurance Program; data presented herein either supersede or are
<br />compatible with all previous determinations.
