S. Army Corps of Engineers, Sacramento <br />District, has completed for the City of Aspen Flood Plain Information <br />Report Roaring Fork River, Aspen, Colorado, dated June 1974; and <br /> <br />~mEREAS, said Flood Plain Information Report outlines and <br />describes the flood water runoff channels within the above described <br />areas; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 149-1-11(4), Colorado Revised Statutes 1963, <br />requires that the Colorado Water Conservation Board designate and <br />approve storm or flood water runoff channels and to make such desig- <br />nations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Article 139-60-1, Colorado Revised Statutes 1963, <br />provides that such cities, towns, incorporated areas and local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for any storm or flood <br />water runoff channel only after designation and approval by the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />Water <br />areas <br />Flood <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the County of Pitkin has requested the Colorado <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve the flood hazard <br />as set forth in the aforesaid U. S. Army Corps of Engineers <br />Plain Information Report; and <br /> <br />Plain <br />Water <br />flood <br />to an <br /> <br />~REAS, the staff of the Board has reviewed said Flood <br />Information Report and does hereby recommend to the Colorado <br />Conservation Board that said Board designate and approve as <br />hazard areas those areas set forth in, the, report as being subject <br />intermediate regional flood; . <br /> <br />---\ <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Con- <br />servation Board in regular meeting assembled in Denver, Colorado, this <br />4th day of December, 1974, that it does hereby designate and approve <br />as flood hazard areas those areas described as being inundated by an <br />intermediate regional flood as set forth in the Flood Plain Information <br />.. . ..
