ANNOUNCEMENT SCHEDULE: <br />Upon Board approval of the grant program and guidelines, announcement will begin. A cover <br />letter and flyer announcing the availability of water conservation grants will be mailed to water <br />providing agencies and other interested parties. Potential applicants will be encouraged to call <br />the Office of Water Conservation for more information and to receive complete information on <br />the grant program and application forms. The following tentative schedule indicates additional <br />announcement efforts. <br /> <br />* Grant Program guidelines and application forms printed - October 1 <br />. * Letter and flyer announcing availability of grants mailed to agencies - October 10 <br />* Articles announcing grants submitted for print to select newsletters - October 10 <br />* Application deadline - January 3, 1992 <br />* Grant awards announced - March/April 1992 <br />* Contracts and workplans initiated - April 1992 <br />* Funds dispersed and projects initiated - May 1992 <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION <br />Staff recommends that the Board approve the grant program and guidelines as presented in this <br />packet. Approval is also needed for the categories of water conservation measures that will be <br />announced for the first grant cycle. <br /> <br />. <br />
