Walker <br />Deputy Director <br /> <br />TO: Bill McDonald, Director, CWCB <br />Ron Cattany, Assistant Director, DNR <br />-'V <br />FROM: Larry LangylChief Flood Control Section, CWCB <br /> <br />DATE: June 1, 1984 <br /> <br />SUBJECT: Flood Outlook for June 1-15, 1984 <br /> <br />I am quite concerned regarding the flooding potential which <br />exists for certain basins as determined from information and data <br />as compiled on June 1, 1984 by the SCS for the following basins. <br /> <br />o Colorado River - The snow depths and water content are over <br />200% <br /> <br />o Yampa River - The snow depths and water content are near 200%, <br />and at the Tower site over 80% of the snow water content <br />remains which has never previously occurred as stated by the <br />SCS. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Uncompahgre River - The percentages remain unchanged from the <br />May 1st and May 14th values. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Gunnison River - The snow depths and water content are near <br />200% for the Upper basin snow courses. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Arkansas River - No data available <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />South Platte River - The readings are generally below average. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />Rio Grande and Southwestern Streams - The readings are near <br />normal. <br /> <br />712 <br />fld/out <br /> <br />Herbert H.
