<br />Upper Colorado River Mainstem - This portion of the Colorado <br /> <br /> <br />River extends from the confluence with the Eagle River <br /> <br /> <br />upstream to the headwaters, theSe-stream reaches are <br /> <br /> <br />considered to have a low flood threat. <br /> <br />Middle Colorado River Mainstem including the Roaring Fork <br /> <br /> <br />River - This stream reach extends from Grand Junction to the <br /> <br />confluence with Eagle River, a number of reaches are <br /> <br />considered to have low-medium flood threat. These locations <br /> <br />are: <br /> <br />Locations <br /> <br />Stream <br /> <br />Basalt, Colo. and Unincorp. areas <br /> <br />of Eagle and Pitkin Counties <br />Silt, Colo. <br />Collbran, Colo. <br /> <br />Roaring Fork River <br />Colorado River <br /> <br />Plateau Creek <br /> <br />Palisade, Colo. <br /> <br />Colorado River <br /> <br />Gunnison River - The watersheds have slightly above average <br />snowpacks with low flood potentials. <br /> <br />Uncompahgre River - The snowpack of the watersheds is above <br /> <br /> <br />average with the Ironton gage reading approaching 200% of <br /> <br />average. <br /> <br />It appears likely that most stream reaches will <br /> <br />experience flood problems during the spring runoff.
