'~d5 prepared by '~est'~ater Engineering Ine. of Pal isade, Colorddo. <br />The parties requesting the study included the Town of Ldke City, Hinsdale <br />County anc the Colorado ~ater Conservation Soard. <br /> <br />Author:zation <br /> <br />This report was authorized by the Colorado '~ater Conserva-:ion Scapi <br />jointly ~ith the Town of Lake City and Kinsdale County. Specific tasks <br />for tnis study were performed according to the terms of the contract <br />ddtedApril22, 1985 between W€stWater Engineering, Inc. oi Palisdde, <br />Colorado, dnd the Town of LaKe City. <br /> <br />Caples of this report are available for public distribution upon request <br />and availability of the stock at the below listed offices. A nominal fee, to <br />cover the printing cost, is charged for each copy. The Technical Addendum to <br />this report is also available at the same offices. A limited number of the <br />Technical Addendum copies were published, thus making it available for review <br />purposes only rather than public distribution. The Addendum Includes the basiC <br />data and calculations used to perform the hydrology and hydraulic analysis for <br />this study. <br /> <br />The Board's power and duty Is .. <br />"to devise and formulate methods, means and plans for bringing <br />about the greater utilization of the waters of the state and the <br />prevention of flood damages therefrom and to designate and approve <br />$tor~ or floodway runoff channels or basins, and to make such <br />designations available to legislative bodies of cities and incorporated <br />towns; to county planning comnissions; and to boards of adjustments of <br />cities; incorporated towns; and counties oftnls state..." <br /> <br />Town of Lake City Town Hall <br />P.O. "100-Year frequency flood" and <br />"one percent chance flood" can be used interchangeably as they are defi nellby <br />t~e same type of flood event (see Glossary).
