Evaluating virgin flow less diversions plus tributary inflows plus
return flows can be completed using MOD-SIM modeling, but we believe this is beyond the scope
of this project. Our work will focus on threshold flows that transport bed and bank material.

We propose to diagram peak flows along the river using hydrology completed under existing
floodplain analyses. Our work will be to pull all available information together to diagram river
flows for different recurrence events. The diagram will show river locations on the X-axis and flow
on the Y-axis. Hydrologic analyses will be incidental to the channel stability analysis work
completed under Task A.2.

END SCOPE OF WORK

K:\Proposal\02830-98\O 15\Scope.doc

Page 7

July 14. 1998
Offices WorldWide
