The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has completed five Flood
Plain Information Reports (Reference 14-18) covering the
following streams in or near Pueblo: Fountain Creek,
Goodnight Arroyo, Dry Creek and Wild Horse Dry Creek, St.
Charles River, Salt Creek and Sixmile Creek.

In July 1972 the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Albuquerque
District, completed a Flood Insurance Study for the City of
Pueblo, Colorado (Reference 13). The 1972 Study was revised
by the COE in 1977 (Reference ) to correct datum
problems and to update the hydrologic analysis on Fountain
Creek. The 1977 COE Study was unacceptable to the City of
Pueblo due to the large lOa-year floodplains in an near Lake
Minnequa and the Pueblo downtown area.

In March, 1981, the previous COE Flood Insurance Study was
updated by MSM Consultants, Inc. to include the following:
