<br />e <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report contains detailed hydrology and floodplain delineations for <br />Woman Creek, Walnut Creek, Upper Big Dry Creek, and Rock Creek within the Rocky Flats Plant <br />in Jefferson County, as they were at the time of the study; and <br /> <br />FLOODPLAIN CONSISTENCY <br />WHEREAS, the floodplain information contained in said report is the most current <br />information available for the federal land owned by the U.S. Department of Energy and known as <br />the Rocky Flats Plant; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the floodplain information contained in said report dated April 1992 should be <br />utilized by the Rocky Flats Plant for floodplain management and master planning purposes; and <br /> <br />eR.S, AUTHORITY <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-I06(l)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide that <br />legislative bodies of local jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for land uses on or along <br />any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and approval by the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(l)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to designate and approve storm or floodwater runoff channels or basins <br />and to make such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; and <br /> <br />COMPLIANCE WITH CWCB TECHNICAL STANDARDS <br />WHEREAS, the detailed hydrologic and hydraulic information for said streams was <br />completed by Wright Water Engineers, Inc. and is consistent with the requirements for detailed <br />hydrologic and hydraulic information listed under the Board's "Rules and Regulations for the <br />Designation and Approval of Floodplains and of Storm or Floodwater Runoff Channels in <br />Colorado" (2 CCR 408-1); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board reviewed said report, prior to its final <br />publication, and supported the methodologies and study findings as described in a letter dated <br />August 7, 1991 from Mr. Larry Lang to Mr, Kenneth Wright; and <br /> <br />DESIGNATION AND APPROVAL ACTION <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Colorado Water Conservation Board in <br />regular meeting assembled in Salida, Colorado, this 27th day of September 1999, that it does <br />hereby designate and approve as detailed information the storm or floodwater runoff channels and <br />basins within the Rocky Flats Plant described by 100-year floodplain delineations in said report <br />dated April 1992; and <br /> <br />2 <br />
