<br />. <br />, , <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Exhibit A <br /> <br />Scope of Services <br />Floodplain Management and Administration Section for <br />Statewide Drainage and Floodplain Management Criteria Manual <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board <br /> <br />April 26, 2001 <br /> <br />Consultant <br />F or the purposes of this Proj ect, the consulting engineer ( Consultant) shall be the firm of WRC <br />Engineering, lnc" a Colorado Corporation. The Colorado Water Conservation Board (CWCB) is <br />the project sponsor. Funding for this project will be provided from 2 separate sources. A total of <br />$30,000 will be paid to the consultant for FY 00-01 (period ending June 30, 2001) from the <br />Severance Tax Operational Account. <br /> <br />Summary of Relluested Work <br />The Consultant shall perform all necessary research, analyses, report writing, coordination, and other <br />tasks necessary to produce a written document entitled Floodplain Management and Administration <br />Guidelines (Guidelines) to be utilized by the CWCB Flood Protection Program. This document will <br />help guide CWCB staff and other government officials with much needed floodplain management <br />tools, <br /> <br />Authority <br />According to Section 37-60-106(I)(c) of the Colorado Revised Statutes, the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board has the power and duty: <br /> <br />".,. to devise and formulate methods, means and plans for bringing about the greater <br />utilization of the waters of the state and the prevention of flood damages therefrom <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />Proiect Location <br />The Project area is within political boundaries of the State of Colorado. In general, existing <br />guidelines already adopted at local and district levels will not be superceded by the CWCB' s <br />proposed Floodplain Management and Administration Guidelines" <br /> <br />Obiective <br />The Project objective is to develop comprehensive Floodplain Management and Administration <br />Guidelines for Colorado that contains sufficient information to provide CWCB staff and other <br />government officials with practical floodplain management tools. The Guidelines will contain text, <br />charts, diagrams, tables, and sample drawings to clearly convey the information. Overall, the <br />completed Guidelines will be used for reference purposes and will be endorsed by the CWCB for <br /> <br />1 <br />
