S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District, has completed for the <br />Larimer. Weld Regional Planning Commission a floodplain information report entitled "Flood Plain <br />Information Report, Cache La Poudre River, Colorado, Volume II, Greeley, Weld County", dated <br />March, 1974: and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado Water Conservation Board, as requested by the City of Greeley <br />and the County of Weld, by Resolution No. 41, adopted on February 26, 1975, approved and <br />designated the floodplains described in said report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency completed a floodplain <br />information report entitled "Flood Insurance Study, City of Greeley, Colorado," dated January 1979 <br />(not designated); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "City of Greeley, Cache La Poudre River, Floodplain <br />and Floodway analysis ", dated January 20,1994, which is a REQUEST FOR LEITER OF MAP <br />REVISION , has been prepared by Brown and Caldwell Consultants under contract to the City <br />of Greeley's Water and Sewer Department; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report includes detailed floodplain information for that portion of <br />the Cache La Poudre River from a point 1,000 feet upstream of the 5th Street bridge thence <br />downstream to Ash Avenue (study reach) ; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the information contained in said new report revises, on the basis of <br />completed flood control improvements (bridges) and a new hydraulic analysis, the detailed <br />information contained in Resolution No. 41 for the said reach of the Cache La Poudre River only; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of Greeley, Colorado, has requested the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplains set forth in the aforesaid new report; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the Colorado <br />Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages therefrom; and <br />
