<br /> <br />Federal Emergency Management Agency <br /> <br />Region VIII Denver Federal Center, Building 710 Denver, CO 80225 <br />Attachment #32 <br /> <br />REPORT TRANSMITTAL LETTER TO EACH TEAM MEMBER'S <br />CHIEF REGIONAL OFFICIAL <br /> <br />August 2, 1983 <br /> <br />Dear <br /> <br />Enclosed with this letter is your copy of the second Interagency <br />Hazard Mitigation Report for the major disaster in Utah declared <br />by the President on April 30, 1983. This report is the result of <br />a coordinated effort of eight Federal agencies, as required by <br />the July 10, 1980 Interagency Agreement for Non-Structural Flood <br />Damage Reduction Measures, <br /> <br />It should be noted that all of the Federal agencies involved, the <br />State of Utah and the local governments made significant <br />contributions to this report. Based on observations and analysis <br />by the team, this report outlines recommended mitigation <br />activities and identifies the lead agency or agencies responsible <br />for initiating the activity. <br /> <br />Thank you for allowing the participation of on <br />this team. His cooperation and contributions were invaluable. <br />It was a challenging and difficult assignment due to the scope of <br />this disaster. The problem from runoff caused not only flooding, <br />but also landslides, mud flows, and dam failure. We look forward <br />to working with again. <br /> <br />Sincerely, <br /> <br />Alton D.
