<br />. <br /> <br />Attachment #12 <br /> <br />" <br /> <br />CHRONOLOGY OF TEAM ACTIVITIES FOR FEMA-671-DR-HI <br />(NOVEMBER 27, 1983) <br /> <br />November 26.....Team was alerted by phone that the Governor was <br />requesting a Presidential Disaster Oeclaration <br />for the State of Hawaii. <br /> <br />Movember 28.....FEMA-Hazard Mitigation staff (HM staff) arrived <br />in Honolulu. <br /> <br />November 29.....HM staff gathered information on the damage. <br /> <br />November 30.....HM staff met with and explained the hazard <br />mitigation requirements and activities to Kauai <br />County and City and County of Honolulu officials. <br /> <br />December 1-3....HM staff made Kauai site visits and worked with <br />Kauai County staff. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />December 3......HM staff made site visits on Oahu and worked with <br />City and County of Honolulu staff. <br /> <br />December 3......Team activated by the FEMA Regional Director. <br /> <br />December 4-5....HM staff analyzed data and prepared Team <br />presentation. <br /> <br />December 6......Team convened in Honolulu, briefed by the HM <br />staff and given a slide presentation by the Kauai <br />County officials. <br /> <br />December 7......Site visit to Kauai. <br /> <br />December 8......Team began preliminary recommendations, was <br />briefed on Oahu with a slide presentation, and <br />met with City and County of Honolulu officials. <br /> <br />December 9......Team briefed by a group of experts on hurricanes, <br />hydrography, tsunami and waves from NOAA, USACE <br />and the University of Hawai i, and continued the <br />discussion of recommendations. <br /> <br />Oecember 10.....The Team unanimously concurred in the <br />recommendations, then adjourned. <br /> <br />Oecember 11-12..HM staff prepared report. <br />
