<br />~ <br /> <br />.. <br /> <br /> <br />March 13, 1984 <br /> <br />TO: Interested Hazard Mitigation Individuals <br /> <br />The enclosed procedures manual is bein9 sent to you for review <br />and comments, The manual outlines a basic set of actions that <br />need to be undertaken by Interagency Flood Hazard Mitigation <br />Teams in response to a Presidential Disaster Declaration, <br /> <br />Recent FEMA visits to the states in Region VIII; continuous <br />Interagency Team contacts; and a just-completed national <br />Interagency Team Leader conference have made it clear that there <br />is a variety and wealth of input that needs to be gathered before <br />this manual can be considered complete, <br /> <br />During your review, particular attention should be given to those <br />sections that address the level of involvement that would be <br />desired from your agency or department in the event of a flooding <br />disaster, <br /> <br />Please return the manual with your comments to the Federal <br />Emergency Management Agency, Region VIII, Disaster Assistance <br />Programs Division, Building 710, Denver Federal Center, Denver, <br />Colorado 80225, Attention: Bill Callahan, before April 11,1984, <br />In the meantime, Bill can be reached at (303) 234-6542.
