Study, City of Fort Collins, Colorado," which <br />included Dry Creek; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Colorado \~ater Conservation Board, as requested <br />by the City of Fort Collins, by resolution No. 139 adopted May <br />18, 1979, approved arid designated the floodplains described in <br />said repor~; and <br /> <br />) <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new report entitled "Major Drainageway planning, <br />Dry Creek, Fort Collins, .Larimer County, Colorado," dated April, <br />1980, has been prepared by Gingery Associates, Inc. , and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said report describes and outlines the floodplain <br />data and information for the storm and. floodwater runoff channels <br />or basins 'of the study area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Larimer County <br />and the City of Fort Collins have requested the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas <br />as set forth in the aforesaid report; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, <br />1973, requires <br />the prevent ion <br /> <br />Section 37-60-106 (1), Colorado Revised Statu.tes <br />the Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in <br />of floods and flood damages therefrom, and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28..,111, Colorado Revised <br />Statutes 1973, provide that. such legislative bodies of local <br />jurisdictions may provide zoning regulations for. land uses on or <br />along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after <br />designation and approval by the Colorado Water Conservation <br />Board; and <br /> <br />128 <br />res (203) <br />
