This improvement involves the placement of three
structures to convey stormwater runoff from Dacono across State Highway 52.
These structures include two 4'H x JO'W RCBs, one 48-inch RCP and one 4'H x
8'W RCB.

5.2.16 Tri-Town Basin Reach T6: Railroad Embankment Regional Ponds

The improvements in this reach involve the preservation of two existing detention ponds.
These ponds are located east of the railroad embankment and south of WCR 24. For the northern
pond, 24 acre-feet of storage is required which will necessitate the acquisition of approximately
10 acres. The southern pond will require the acquisition of 12 acres of land which will preserve
16 acre-feet of detention storage. These improvements are presented in Figure 5.17.

5.2.17 Additional Considerations

As indicated previously, road crossings of several tributaries to the Godding Hollow and
Tri- Town Drainageways also exist. Several of these crossings lack the capacity to convey the peak
discharge from the 100-year storm event for existing conditions. In addition, several of the
crossings were noted to be experiencing potential sediment and debris problems that would tend
to reduce the conveyance capacity. As land development occurs within the basin, these crossing
structures will require improvements to meet the existing drainage criteria. Improvements to these
structures should consider the peak discharges conveyed through or over these crossings during
the JOO-year storm event. In addition, the capacity and stability of downstream conveyance
facilities should be considered.

5.3 Drainage Criteria

It is understood that land development within both basins will be dictated by the guidelines
and recommendations provided in this master planning document. The following information is
presented to guide development within the Godding Hollow and Tri-Town Basins.

· Land development in the Godding Hollow Basin will be required to limit the
stormwater runoff to the magnitude of the existing condition, lO-year and 100-year
flood events.

T:IOPENlCoweldOllcowe/dO/ln/ rpr.wpd

5.29

September 8, 1999
