<br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />e <br /> <br />FPR 93-343 <br /> <br />COLORADO WATER CONSERVATION BOARD <br />721 State Centennial Building <br />1313 Sherman Street <br />Denver, Colorado 80203 <br /> <br />March 5, 1993 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a floodplain information report entitled "Floodplain Information Report, <br />Coal Creek", dated December 1976, was prepared by ECI, Inc" at the request of the Town <br />of Crested Butte, Colorado and the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the floodplain information in the December 1976 report was not <br />approved and designated by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, a new floodplain information report entitled "Floodplain Information <br />Report for Coal Creek", dated September 18, 1992, has been prepared by RBD, Inc" at the <br />request of the Town of Crested Butte, Colorado; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, said new report includes detailed floodplain information for the storm <br />and floodwater runoff channels on Coal Creek; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Town of Crested Butte, Colorado has requested the Colorado Water <br />Conservation Board to designate and approve the floodplain areas as set forth in the report <br />dated September 18, 1992; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37-60-106(1)(c), Colorado Revised Statutes, requires the <br />Colorado Water Conservation Board to assist in the prevention of floods and flood damages <br />therefrom; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Section 37 -60-106( 1)( c), Colorado Revised Statutes, directs the Colorado <br />Water Conservation to designate and approve storms or floodwaters runoff channels or <br />basins and to make such designations available to legislative bodies of local jurisdictions; <br />and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Sections 31-23-301 and 30-28-111, Colorado Revised Statutes, provide <br />that such legislative bodies of local jurisdictiOns may provide zoning regulations for land uses <br />on or along any storm or floodwater runoff channel or basin only after designation and <br />approval by the Colorado Water Conservation Board; and <br />
