Includes classification and delineation <br />of wetlands by state, county, ecoregion, and watershed. <br />Location and identification of wetlands may be useful in <br />planning flood storage areas, estimating peak flows from <br />runoff, evaluating erosion control potential, and in <br />multi-purpose floodplain planning. Knowledge of where <br />the uplands are located will be valuable in disasters to <br />facilitate planning transportation routes, <br /> <br />Graphical and computerized. Maps, overlays, and aerial <br />photographs are available. 11ap scales are 1:24,000, <br />1:62,000, and 1:100,000. Computer records will be avail- <br />able in early 1979 summarizing acreages of wetland classes <br />by state, county, ecoregion, and watershed.
