Assessments carried out in three stages: prelim-
inary evaluation, detailed analysis, and hazard reduction
construction. Six installations have been surveyed to
some extent, including 3,500 buildings, of which 500 are
to be evaluated in more detail. Studies concentrate on
earthquake and tsunami hazards, and, to a lesser degree,
on site hazards including soil liquefaction. First
study began in early 1970's.

Printed reports for completed studies available from the
Naval Facilities Engineering Command for cost of duplica-
tion (about $0.05 per page). Seven studies completed.

None

Joe Tyrrell
NFACENCOM
Code 045
200 Stovall Drive
Alexandria, VA 22332

Tele: (202) 325-0063 FTS 325-0063

61
