Data are organized by ocean basin: North <br />Atlantic, eastern N. Pacific, western N. Pacific, South- <br />west Pacific, North Indian, Southwest Indian, and <br />Australian. Period covered varies with geographic area, <br />generally 1899 to present (1871 to present for North <br />Atlantic). Sources of data are: <br />North Atlantic National Hurricane Center <br />(Neil Frank, Director) <br /> <br />eastern N. Pacific National Weather Service <br />Forecast Office <br />Redwood, CA <br /> <br />other basins Foreign Meteorological Services <br /> <br />On magnetic tape. Copies, plots, searches, and analyses <br />are available at cost. Plans for updating are uncertain <br />and nonroutine.
