Under <br />the Coastal Zone Management Act of 1972, Federal aid is <br />given to states that prepare an approved plan for coastal <br />areas management. Thirteen states have submitted approved <br />plans; 8 to 10 additional plans are expected to be approved <br />in 1979. All 34 states are at present working on plans. <br />The plans and documents supporting the plans are available <br />in the Information Center.
