Data are collected
by Forest Service personnel on lands administered by the
Forest Service and other Federal agencies. Insect and
disease conditions on state and private lands are monitored
by state forestry organizations or their equivalents. Ar-
chival data are available at regional or area headquarters
for about the last 10 years.

Tabular summaries of acres infested by causal agent and
intensity of damage are available from regional or area
offices. In addition, maps showing location of infestation
boundaries can be made available for cost of duplication.
A national computerized system is being planned for 1981.

Annual Regional and Nat~onal Forest Insect and Disease
Condition reports are available which summarize these
data.
