<br />PART 18 ADDRESSES <br /> <br />18.01 OWNER <br /> <br />A. Owner is the District named in the Agreement acting through its duly <br />authorized agents. All notices, letters and communications directed <br />to Owner shall be addressed and delivered to Owner at the address <br />indicated in the Agreement, with a copy to Architect. <br /> <br />18.02 ARCHITECT <br /> <br />A. All duties and responsibilities assigned to Architect in the Contract <br />Documents, with the corresponding rights and authority will be assumed <br />by the Architect named in the Agreement and its duly authorized agents. <br />All notices, letters and communication directed to Architect shall be <br />addressed and delivered to Architect at the address indicated.in the <br />Agreement. <br /> <br />18.03 CONTRACTOR <br /> <br />A. The business addresses of Contractor given in the Bid Form and Con- <br />tractor's office at the site of the Work are hereby designated as <br />the places to which all notices, letters and other communication <br />to Contractor will be delivered. <br /> <br />18.04 CHANGE OF ADDRESS <br /> <br />A. Either Owner, Contractor, or Architect may change his address at any <br />time by an instrument in writing delivered to the other two. <br /> <br />PART 19 LIQUIDATED DAMAGES <br /> <br />A. Time is an essential condition of the Contract. Should the Contractor <br />fail to perform the Work within the period of time stipulated in the <br />Agreement, Contractor shall pay to Owner, as liquidated damages and <br />not as a penalty, the amounts set forth in the Contract Agreement <br />unless extensions of time granted by Owner specifically provide for <br />the waiving of liquidated damages. <br /> <br />B. In case of joint responsibility for delay in the final completion of <br />the Work, where two or more separate contracts are in force at the <br />same time and cover Work at the same site, liquidated damages <br />assessed against anyone Contractor for the delay shall be determined <br />by, and in the judgment of, Architect. <br /> <br />C. Owner shall have the right to deduct the liquidated damages from any <br />money in its hands, otherwise due, or to become due, to Contractor, or <br />to sue for and recover compensation for damages for nonperformance of <br />this Contract within the time stipulated. <br /> <br />PART 20 EXISTING INSTALLATIONS <br /> <br />A.
