<br />I <br />I <br />I' <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br />I <br /> <br />4.05 The submission of a Bid will constitute an incontrovertible representation <br />by the Bidder that he has complied with every requirement of this Article 4 <br />and that the Contract Documents are sufficient in scope and detail to indicate <br />and convey understanding of all terms and conditions for performance of the <br />work. <br /> <br />PART 5 INTERPRETATIONS <br /> <br />5.01 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be <br />submitted to the Architect in writing. Replies will be issued only by Addenda. <br />Questions received less than five (5) days prior to the date of opening of Bids <br />will not be answered. Only answers to questions answered by formal written <br />Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will <br />be without legal effect.. Addenda will be mailed or delivered to all parties <br />recorded by the Architect as having received the Bidding Documents. No <br />Addenda will be issued later than four (4) days prior to the date for receipt <br />of Bids except an Addendum, if necessary, postponing the date for receipt of <br />Bids or withdrawing the request for Bids. <br /> <br />5.02 All Addenda to the Contract Documents must be properly acknowledged in the <br />space provided on the Bid Form. <br /> <br />PART 6 PRE-BID CONFERENCE <br /> <br />6.01 A pre-bid conference will be held at the time and place indicated in the <br />Invitation to Bid. The representative of Owner and Architect will be present <br />to answer questions. Any questions which, in the opinion of the Architect, <br />can' .ot be answered by direct reference to the Bidding Documents will be <br />answered by formal written Addenda as outlined above under Interpretations. <br /> <br />PART 7. .eAS\SQEW <br /> <br />7.01 The selection of the bid will be made on the basis of the lowest, total, <br />responsive, qualified bid of all Schedules and/or any combination of <br />schedules and Bid Alternates, whichever in the opinion of the Owner best <br />serves the Owner. <br /> <br />7.02 The Bidder shall submit one lump sum price as required by the Bid Form. <br /> <br />7.03 The Bidder shall submit bids for all alternates, if any, listed on the Bid <br />Form. <br /> <br />PART 8. W SECURITY <br /> <br />8.01 Bid Security shall be made payable to Owner, in an amount of five percent <br />(5%) of the Bidder's maximum Bid Price, including alternates, if any, and <br />in the form of a Cashier's Check or a Bid Bond on form attached issued by a <br />surety meeting the requirements of the General Conditions. <br /> <br />IB-5 <br />
