4.05 The submission of a Bid will constitute an incontrovertible representation
by the Bidder that he has complied with every requirement of this Article 4
and that the Contract Documents are sufficient in scope and detail to indicate
and convey understanding of all terms and conditions for performance of the
work.

PART 5 INTERPRETATIONS

5.01 All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be
submitted to the Architect in writing. Replies will be issued only by Addenda.
Questions received less than five (5) days prior to the date of opening of Bids
will not be answered. Only answers to questions answered by formal written
Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will
be without legal effect.. Addenda will be mailed or delivered to all parties
recorded by the Architect as having received the Bidding Documents. No
Addenda will be issued later than four (4) days prior to the date for receipt
of Bids except an Addendum, if necessary, postponing the date for receipt of
Bids or withdrawing the request for Bids.

5.02 All Addenda to the Contract Documents must be properly acknowledged in the
space provided on the Bid Form.

PART 6 PRE-BID CONFERENCE

6.01 A pre-bid conference will be held at the time and place indicated in the
Invitation to Bid. The representative of Owner and Architect will be present
to answer questions. Any questions which, in the opinion of the Architect,
can' .ot be answered by direct reference to the Bidding Documents will be
answered by formal written Addenda as outlined above under Interpretations.

PART 7. .eAS\SQEW

7.01 The selection of the bid will be made on the basis of the lowest, total,
responsive, qualified bid of all Schedules and/or any combination of
schedules and Bid Alternates, whichever in the opinion of the Owner best
serves the Owner.

7.02 The Bidder shall submit one lump sum price as required by the Bid Form.

7.03 The Bidder shall submit bids for all alternates, if any, listed on the Bid
Form.

PART 8. W SECURITY

8.01 Bid Security shall be made payable to Owner, in an amount of five percent
(5%) of the Bidder's maximum Bid Price, including alternates, if any, and
in the form of a Cashier's Check or a Bid Bond on form attached issued by a
surety meeting the requirements of the General Conditions.
